Visa Requirements
Tourist
The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the date of expiry of the visa.
Copy of the Passport.
Two visa forms (photocopy allowed).
Two recent passport-size photographs.
A Covering letter from the Applicant.
List of countries visited in the ;last 6 months.
Original invitation letter from Benin.
International certificate of vaccination (yellow fever vaccination certificate) is required.
Proof of funds covering duration of stay or bank account statements.
Confirmed hotel booking or sponsoring letter(for tourists)
A confirmed onward/ return air ticket.
A No-Objection Certificate from the Employer (if applicable).
Onward Country visa or a sponsorship letter from Benin.
Copy of complete file.
Some cases are referred to Benin, for which the Embassy charges approximately INR 1000 for courier. Approval can take 10-15 days.
Visa is issued for a maximum stay of 15 days, with single entry and is valid for 90 days.
If required, the visa can be extended by the Immigration Department in Benin.
Processing time is 2 to 3 working days.
