Visa Requirements

TOURIST VISA
 
Passport should be valid for at least six months from date of arrival in china. The China Embassy in New Delhi requires old passport along with the valid passport only if there is any previously stamped China VISA in the old passport.
 
One Typed visa application form to be filled completely and signed by the applicant. Application form should be filled only by BLOCK Letters with NO corrections. All the columns in the form should be filled. No short forms should be used in terms of State, place names (please refer to the Sample on-line filled form)
 
Two recent colour photographs, 48mm*33mm, width of head:15mm to 22mm, height of head: 20mm to 33mm in size with white background and face should cover 80% of the photo area and Glossy.
 
Two recent colour glossy photographs, 35 x 45mm in size with white background and face should cover 80% of the photo area
 
Covering letter from the applicant stating the purpose and duration of stay. The name and passport Number of each applicant is required on the same. (Letter to be addressed to the VISA Officer, Embassy of China)
 
Day to day Itinerary
 
Proof of Accommodation (hotel confirmations for entire duration of stay, receipt for purchase of a tour package, etc.)
 
Proof of airline reservation for a round trip e.g. ticket Itinerary
 
Bank statement for last 6 months including address and telephone number of the bank, A/C holder’s name & address with stamp and signature of bank on each page with minimum Balance of Rs.1.5 Lakh.
 
Last 6 months salary slip (If employed)
 
If visiting relatives or friends, a letter of invitation from the relative or friend in China
 
Please include proof of legal status in China like passport copy, VISA Copy and residential Proof. If relative or friend is paying for the trip then evidence of sufficient funds from their side is required
 
An authority letter mentioning the name and passport number of the applicant is required from the Travel Agent (Ziyarat e Haramain Travel (P) Ltd. )authorizing the representative for Submission and collection of the passports
 
If passport is issued outside the jurisdiction of Delhi Embassy.

 BUSINESS VISA

 Company’s Covering letter on the company’s letter head from the applicant Employer stating the name, passport number, designation, purpose and duration of stay of the applicant and it should be signed and stamped by the employer and should be addressed to the Visa Officer, Embassy of China, New Delhi. The letter should also contain a brief profile of the Indian company and invitee’s details. (Letter to be addressed to the VISA Officer, Embassy of China)
 
 Invitation Letter from the Company of China (legally registered) with the Company’s seal and signature from the authorized signatory (name only in Chinese language and designation of the signatory should also be mentioned).The Letter should have applicant’s details such as name, passport number, designation etc. The purpose and details of the travel should be very clear. Also ensure that the seal and signature are very clear. (Original letter is advisable)
 
 Two copies of passport first and last page to be submitted
 
 An authority Letter mentioning the name and passport number of the applicant is required from the Travel Agent (Ziyarat e Haramain Travel (P) Ltd) authorizing the representative for Submission and collection of the passports.

S1 Visa Requirements
 
1. Basic Documents
 
(1)Passport:- Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and with blank visa pages, a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.
 
2. Visa Application Form and Photo One completed Visa Application Form with a recently-taken colour passport photo (bare-head, full face) against a light background (size: 48mm x 33mm Glossy) attached.
 
 3.Proof of legal status (applicable for those not applying for the visa in their country of citizenship) If you are not applying for a visa in the country of your citizenship, you must provide the original and photocopy of your valid certificates of residence, employment or student status, or other valid certificates of legal stay provided by the relevant authorities of the country where the Visa Centre is located.
 
 4. Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas (applicable for those who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship). If you are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time, you should provide the last Chinese passport held and a photocopy of its data page. If you have obtained Chinese visas before and apply for a Chinese visa with a renewed foreign passport that does not contain any Chinese visa, you should present the photocopy of the previous passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate, as well as the previous Chinese visa page (If your name on the current passport differs from that on the previous one, you must provide an official document of name change).
 
2. Supporting documents Applicants who are going to visit their relatives residing in China and intend to stay for more than 180 days need to provide:
 
(1) A photocopy of the inviting party’s passport and residence permit.
 
(2) An invitation letter that contains: a) Information of the applicant (incl. full name, gender, date of birth, etc.); b) Information regarding the visit (incl. purpose of visit, intended arrival date, intended place(s) to stay, intended duration of stay, relationship between the applicant and the inviting party, and details of any financial support to be provided during the stay in China); c) Information of the inviting party (incl. name, contact telephone number, address, signature of individual).
 
 (3) Original and photocopy of certification (marriage certificate, birth certificate or notarized certification of kinship) showing the relationship of family members between the applicants and the inviting parties. "Relatives" refers to spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18, parents in law.
 
Accompanying family members applying together with applicants of Z-Visa or X1-Visa need to provide: (1) A photocopy of the application documents of Z-Visa or X1-Visa.
 
 (2) Original and photocopy of notarized and authenticated certification (marriage certificate, birth certificate or notarized certification of kinship) showing the relationship of family members between applicants and inviting parties. "Relatives" refers to spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18, parents in law.
 
We kindly remind you that: Holders of S1-Visa must apply for a residence permit from the immigration department of the local public security authority in the place intended to stay within 30 days of entry to China.
 
3. Special notes
 
 (1) The invitation letter may be in the form of fax, photocopy or computer printout, but the consular officer may require the applicant to submit the original of the invitation letter. An issuer of invitation letter who is an individual in China should also provide a photocopy of his/her Chinese ID.
 
(2) If necessary, the consular officer may require the applicant to provide other proof documents or supplementary materials, or require an interview with the applicant.
 
(3) The consular officer will decide on whether or not to issue the visa and on its validity, duration of stay and number of entries in light of specific conditions of the applicant.
 
S2 Visa Requirements
 
 1. Basic Documents

It should contain: a) Information of the applicant (incl. full name, gender, date of birth, etc.); b) Information regarding the visit (incl. purpose of visit, arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, relationship between the applicant and the inviting party, and details of any financial support to be provided during the stay in China) c) Information of the inviting parties (incl. name, contact telephone number, address, signature of individual).
 
 (3) Original and photocopy of certification (marriage certificate, birth certificate or notarized certification of kinship) showing the relationship of family members between applicants and Inviting parties. "Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law. For private affairs, documentation identifying their nature should be provided.
 
 3. Special notes
 
 (1) The invitation letter may be in the form of fax, photocopy or computer printout, but the consular officer may require the applicant to submit the original of the invitation letter. An issuer of invitation letter who is an individual in China should also provide a photocopy of his/her Chinese ID.

WORK PERMIT /Z VISA
 
Passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of submission of the visa application.
 
One typed Visa Application Form to be filled completely and signed by the applicant .
 
Two recent color photographs, 35 x 45mm in size with white background and face should cover 80% Glossy of the photo area .
 
Covering letter from the applicant stating the purpose and duration of stay.
 
Name as in Passport and Passport Number should be mentioned in the Letter  Physical Examination Record for Foreigner" issued by doctors from an Indian state hospital.
 
The photo on the Record should be stamped by the hospital. (Valid for 6 months from issued date).  Photocopy of the personal data page of applicant’s passport Photocopy of Applicants Educational qualification or Professional qualification  
 
Employment approval letter of work required from China.
 
Covering letter or introduction letter of Chinese company, following  things to be mentioned on the covering letter.

An authority Letter is required from the Travel Agent (Ziyarat e Haramain Travel (P) Ltd authorizing the representative for the submission and collection of the passport .
 
Date in the Covering letter, Invitation Letter, Ticket, Insurance and hotel should strictly match, any discrepancy in date may lead to non submission of documents and may take unnecessary time.
 
Important Note:  All the columns in the application form should be complete. If kept blank; the embassy will not accept the application. Advisable to fill manual forms as if any Column is left blank or wrong filled; case will not be submitted as correction with pen is not acceptable. Note- Actual processing time may vary case to case and is at discretion of Embassy/Consulate.
