Visa Requirements

Tourist
 
The Applicant should have a passport with a minimum validity of 6 months.
Two visa forms (photocopy allowed).
Two passport-size photographs.
A covering Letter from the Applicant on the companies letter head explaining the purpose of visit.
Confirmed onward/ return air ticket.
Onward country visa.
Proof of Hotel Reservation.
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
Processing time is 5 to 7 working days.
Applicant can be asked for additional documents or may be called for an interview if deemed necessary by the Embassy.

Photo Specifications
 
Please provide two identical copies of a recent photograph of yourself. Please take
following precautions while submitting the photographs:
 
The photograph should be a passport size colour photograph.
Has light background
Is taken from shoulder and above, well lit so that details can be seen.
Is taken straight on.
Is 3.5 X 4.5 cm.
The photograph should be a recent one not more than 6 months old.
Is taken without headgear.
Can be taken with headgear, after consideration on case to case basis if the applicant wears headgear on religious grounds. 
The main characteristics of the face must be apparent from the photograph. Chin, nose, eyes and eyebrows must not be covered, the forehead
should be uncovered to the extent that the shape of the face is apparent.
Is without hat/cap.
Is with the applicant's hair tucked behind his/her ears.
The photograph should not have any staple marks.
The photograph should be of good quality, scanned & colour photocopies would not beaccepted.
Is without sunglasses.
 
BUSINESS VISA FOR DENMARK
 
Passport should be valid for at least 3 months beyond the intendedduration of stay in the destined country.
Denmark Embassy and Consulaterequires colored copies of the full passport (all pages including Biodatapages) along with the documents.
If the passenger is holding any oldpassport then colored photocopy of first and last pages along with all the Schengen VISA (If Applicable) of the old passport is also required.
One Visa Application Form, Supplementary Form and Medical Insurance Declaration Form (in case of frequent traveler) to be filled completely and signed by the applicant
Two recent color photographs (no digital photo), 35 x 45mm in white background with 80% face coverage
Covering letter on the company letter head from the applicant stating the name & designation of the applicant, itinerary, purpose and duration of the stay. (Letter to be addressed to the VISA Officer, Embassy/ Consulate General of Denmark)
Invitation letter from the company of Denmark stating the name of applicant invited, date of intended stay, purpose of visit and nature of cost being covered
Proof of confirmed air ticket.

Overseas medical insurance valid for the country with the minimum coverage of 30000 Euro. The insurance has to cover all risk e.g. accident, illness e.t.c.The policy must be clearly specify the period of validity and has to cover the date of arrival and departure and has to be submitted in original along with photocopy.
Proof of sufficient funds
Bank statement for last 3 months including address and telephone number of the bank, A/C holder’s name & address with stamp and signature of bank
Income tax returns for last 3 year
If you are self employed: registration of the company/ partnership deed/ Memorandum of Article (MOA) is required.
In case of first visit, copy of relevant and latest educational certificate is also required
Two copies of passport first and last page to be submitted.
Applicant could be asked for additional documents or may be called for an interview if desired by The Embassy of Denmark, New Delhi.
Authority Letter- If an applicant is not in a position to submit and collect his/her application in person, under such circumstances it is mandatory that their representative /agent should produce an authority letter
There should be two separate letters, for submission and collection respectively
Date in the Covering letter, Invitation Letter, Ticket, Insurance and hotel should strictly match, any discrepancy in date may lead to non-submission of documents and may take unnecessary time
Incase of visit being sponsored by guarantor/ reference in Denmark/ Iceland, the guarantor/reference is required to furnish the following:
 A sponsorship letter (not older than 6 months) issued by the reference in Denmark.
 The sponsorship letter to specifically contain the applicant name, address, relationship with the guarantor/reference (proof to be attached), duration of stay & the nature of costs being sponsored.
Applicants should not purchase their tickets before their visa is approved where proof of tickets issued is not listed in the checklist as a mandatory document to be provided with the application. Neither the Consulate nor Ziyarat e Haramain Travel (P) Ltd takes any responsibility for any ticket purchased by the applicant without a visa being issued
Applicants of all age needs to be physically present at the time of Visa Application as live photograph is required for all age applicants.
 
NOTE: A short stay Schengen visa can be allowed to enter and stay in theSchengen area for a maximum of 90 consecutive days or 90 nonconsecutive days (several trips) out of a period of 180 days, from the date of the first entry in the Schengen area.
Biometric Update – Biometric is mandatory for all categories ( short term & Long term) Applicant of all age groups are required to visit the VFS centre for biometrics because live photo capture is mandatory for all age group.
All staples in the applications & documents must be removed prior to submission at the counters.

(b).An outline of the applicant’s itinerary, purpose of visit names and addresses of the companies he/she
intends to visit.
6 .A signed invitation letter from the Danish/ Icelandic company containing following detail:
(a) Name of the applicant invited
(b) Purpose of visit
(c) Dates of the intended stay
(d) Nature of costs being covered (boarding & lodging)
7.Overseas travel medical insurance valid for all Schengen-countries .The insurance has to cover the
applicant for at least 30,000 Euros or equivalent, for all risks e.g. accident, illness, medical emergency
evacuation etc. The policy has to clearly specify the period of validity and has to cover the entire duration
of the trip including the date of arrival & departure.

11.Proof of funds for stay/ Evidence of source of Financial support such as :
(a) Bank statements * for last three months / Sponsor letter / Foreign exchange endorsed on the passport
(b) In case applicant is the proprietor / owner of the company, company’s bank statement, company memo,
partnership deed, establishment license or proprietorship etc are required.
(c) In case of visit being sponsored by the company, sponsorship letter with full details and bank statement for
last six months of the company required.
12.Incase of visit being sponsored by guarantor/ reference in Denmark/ Iceland, the guarantor/
reference is required to furnish the following:
(a) A sponsorship letter (not older than 6 months) issued by the reference in Denmark.
(b) The sponsorship letter to specifically contain the applicant name, address, relationship with the guarantor/
reference (proof to be attached), duration of stay & the nature of costs being sponsored.
13.Incase of first visit, in addition to the business correspondence with the concerned Danish/ Icelandic
company, copy of relevant and Highest Educational Certificate is also required.
14 .Reason letter incase s/he has not travelled on the Previous Schengen Visa.
15.One Copies of first page of the passport to be submitted and one set of Colored copy of the entire passport
including blank pages. If having old passport colored copies of first and last page and UK, US, Australia,
Canada and Previous Schengen Visa Copies if any.
Note: * Internet Bank Statement will not be accepted. Only Bank Statement with name of the bank, branch address,
contact number, applicant’s & company’s name, address, account number would be accepted.
Applicant could be asked for additional documents or may be called for an Interview if desired by The Royal Danish
Embassy, New Delhi.
 
The visa fee, according to Schengen regulations, is non-refundable.
