Submission Timings : 1000 hours - 1300 hours (Monday - Friday).

 

Collection Timings: 1600 hours - 1700 hours (Monday - Friday)

 

VISA ON ARRIVAL

 

 Applicants who wish to travel to Ethiopia for Tourism purpose can avail the visa on arrival at Ethiopia. The validity of the visa is maximum 1 month. Applicants need to carry:

 

 Valid Passport

 

 Confirmed return air ticket

 

 Hotel Confirmation

 

 Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate  Visa fees – USD 20

 

 Passenger is required to take Oral Polio vaccination 4 week prior to Travel, the same is mandatory travel requirement.

 

TOURIST VISA FOR ETHIOPIA

 

Passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of submission of the visa application

 

 One Visa Application Form to be filled completely and signed by the applicant

 

 Two recent colour photographs, 35 x 45mm in size with white background

 

 Covering letter from the applicant stating the purpose and duration of stay

 

 Proof of confirmed airline reservation for a round trip e.g. reservation slip

 

 Proof of accommodation: hotel reservation including the name and phone number of hotel

 

 Bank statement for 3months in original with minimum Rs. 1lac balance in account duely stamped by the bank.

 

 If you are self employed: registration of the company/ partnership deed/ Memorandum of Article (MOA) is required

 

 Two copies of passport first and last page to be submitted. (if applicable)

 

 If visiting Friends or Relatives then invitation letter of sponsorship letter duly attested by the Ministry of immigration, Government of Ethiopia is to be produced  Both Original and Xerox of Yellow fever vaccination is required

 

 Both Original and Xerox of Oral polio is required. Passenger is required to take Oral Polio vaccination 4 week prior to Travel, the same is mandatory travel requirement.

 

 Visa fee is payable through Demand Draft in favour of Embassy of Ethiopia payable at New Delhi. At Mumbai, Visa fee is payable through Demand Draft in favour of “Consulate General of the F.D.R. of Ethiopia “ OR Consulate General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Payable at Mumbai.

 Covering letter from the company on the letter head stating the designation, purpose and duration of stay. The authorised signatory should mention his / her name and designation. The letter should bear the company’s seal

 

 Invitation letter from the Ethiopian Company should be directly faxed to the Embassy on +912224386627 and one copy should be with the applicant. It should also mention specific purpose of the visit while indicating the name, designation of the visitor along with name, designation of the signatory and official seal of the company

 

 IMMIGRATION OFFICE (HEAD OFFICE – MAIN DEPT) OF ETHIOPIA SHOULD APPROVE THAT THE VISA SHOULD BE GRANTED (Stamp) ON THE INVITATION LETTER. (WITHOUT WHICH VISA WILL NOT BE SANCTIONED)

 

 For the submission at Mumbai Consulate, for the first time travellers the recommendation letter from the Indian Chambers of Commerce is also required.

 

 Proof of airline reservation for a return trip e.g. reservation slip

 

 If you are self employed: registration of the company/ partnership deed/ Memorandum of Article (MOA) is required

 

 Two copies of passport first and last page to be submitted.(Optional)

 

 Both Original and Xerox of Yellow fever vaccination is required
