Visa Requirements

TOURIST VISA FOR SOUTH AFRICA – DELHI
 
 Passport should be valid for at least six months from date of submission of visa application with at least two blank pages
 One Visa Application Form to be filled completely and signed by the applicant. (With black ink and no correction or use of whitener in the form are allowed)
 Two recent colour photographs 35 x 45mm in size with white background.
 Covering letter from the Applicant on Company letterhead stating his name, designation, purpose and duration of stay
 Tour confirmation and day and day itinerary detail.
 NOC from the current organization (employer) stating the position and tenure of service
 Employment letter from the current organization (employer) stating the position and tenure of service.
 Proof of airline reservation for a return trip e.g. reservation slip
 Proof of accommodation: hotel reservation including the name, address and phone number of hotel or Invitation letter with copy of Government photo id proof of Inviter attested by Commissioner of OATHS in South Africa
 For group tour, booking certificate from travel agency/organization is required
 Proof of sufficient fund
 Bank statement for last 3 months with minimum balance of INR 60,000/- including address and telephone number of the bank, A/C holder’s name, address with stamp & signature of bank
 Income tax returns for last 3 year
 If you are self employed: registration of the company/ partnership deed/ Memorandum of Article (MOA) is required.
 Two copies of passport first and last page to be submitted.
 Applicants can be requested to lodge a refundable deposit which will be refunded, if the applicant complies with the conditions of the temporary residence permit. (Amount is INR 40,000/- in the form of demand draft, payable to South Africa High Commission)
 Any passenger travelling to South Africa via the yellow fever belt countries e.g. Kenya (and will disembark in said country for more than 8 hours), needs yellow fever vaccination. The vaccination certificate must accompany the passport and visa application in such cases when presenting to the Consulate/High Commission in Mumbai and Delhi, respectively.
 Power of Attorney as per the attachment should be duly filled and signed by the applicant
 Birth Certificate of all applicants under the age of 18 is mandatory. – Notarized / Certified True copy to be submitted at the time of application, and the ORIGINAL to be carried at the time of Travelling.
 
NOTE:
 All company related documents should be signed with original stamp by company.
 All personal documents as birth / marriage certificates should be notary attested.
 
In case of family, the dependent should have the copy of all the documents attached in the main applicant’s passport.
As per the mandate from South African High Commission, New Delhi, all the repatriation deposits (INR 40,000) will be refunded through bank transfers only. Applicants must provide following bank details for the bank transfers:

Applicant must also submit the photocopy of the cheque book in order to verify bank details or submit all bank details on the Bank’s letterhead.
 
 When a child travels with only one parent, additional documents should include an affidavit in which the absent parent gives consent for the child to travel, a court order granting full parental responsibilities or legal guardianship of the child, or the death certificate of the absent parent. The affidavit should be no more than three months old, from date of travel. Parental Consent Affidavit needs to be submitted along with the application from single or both parents. Parental Consent Affidavit available on VFS website.
 
 For children traveling with legal guardians, the adults will be required to present affidavits from the parents granting the children permission to travel internationally.
 
 Similarly, a child travelling as an unaccompanied minor would have to produce not only the unabridged birth certificate, but also proof of consent from parents, or legal guardian and contact details, plus documentation relating to the person receiving the child in the Republic.
 
 Applicants personal bank statement (Original or Attested copy) Must be attached to application, Consulate does not accept company bank statements. Only dependents and Unemployed spouse can attach a copy of the primary applicant’s bank statement.
 
 Police Clearance Certificate should be from MEA (Passport Office)
 
 
BUSINESS VISA FOR SOUTH AFRICA (DELHI)
 
 Passport should be valid for at least six months from date of submission of the visa application with at least two blank pages
 
 If the passport is issued outside Mumbai jurisdiction and the person residing in Mumbai for last 6 months then he has to provide local address proof eg- Rent agreement, Land line Phone bill etc.
 
 It has to be addressed to South African Embassy of New Delhi
 
 One Visa Application Form to be filled in completely and signed by the applicant (With black ink and no correction or use of whitener in the form are allowed)
 
 Two recent color photographs 3.5 x 4.5mm in size with white background
 
 Covering letter from the Applicant on Company letterhead stating his name, designation, purpose and date & duration of stay.
 
 The contact details of the applicant must be mentioned in the letter
 
 Proof of Airline Reservation e.g. reservation slip
 
 Invitation letter from the South African Company with the signature, address, phone number and seal of the company is required. Copy of Government photo id proof of Inviter attested by Commissioner of OATHS in South Africa

 Yellow fever vaccination certificate
 Medical and radiological reports in the Medical Form (as per the attachment)
 Police Clearance Certificate.
 With immediate effect, High Commission of the Republic of South Africa, New Delhi & Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa, Mumbai have announced that the application for the main applicant & the dependent can not be submitted together. The main applicant has to apply for work permit visa first & once the visa is granted, the dependent can submit the application with the copy of work permit visa.
 
NOTE: As per the mandate from South African High Commission, New Delhi, all the repatriation deposits (INR 40,000) will be refunded through bank transfers only. NOTE: Please note that the South African Ministry of Home Affairs had decided to introduce Transit Visa requirement for all Non-Visa exempt nationalities travelling via South Africa to the following countries with effect from 01 June 2010. Botswana Lesotho Mozambique Namibia Swaziland Zimbabwe
 
 Passengers intending to travel to the mentioned countries by road do not qualify for transit visas, but must apply for visitor’s visas.
