Note: All first time travellers to Syria are required to come personally for visa. Travel Agents and Company Representatives are not allowed to deposit visa application.
Visa Requirements
Tourist
Embassy does not issue Visa currently.
Business
The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of application for the visa.
Three visa forms typed neatly (photocopy allowed).
Three passport-size photographs.
A Covering Letter from the Indian Commercial House giving details of travel.
A Letter of Invitation from the Business Associates in Syria attested by the Syrian Chamber of Commerce must also be enclosed. A copy should also be faxed directly to the Embassy.
A profile of the Company indicating Business with Syria and copies of invoices etc.
A Letter of Recommendation from the Chamber of Commerce (in original).
Income tax returns for the last 3 years.
Bank statement for the last 6 months.
Confirmed onward/ return air ticket.
A valid Polio (OPV) Certificate is required. The dose of OPV should be taken at least four weeks prior to the departure from India.
Onward country visa.
